Back Home
This is a page dedicated to poetry that I have written. So far these are ones from scraps of paper (napkins and so on) that I've saved over the years. Some date back to the age of twelve. There is hardly any use of puncuation-if that bothers you then you may feel more comfortable looking through one of my other pages of music and/or artwork.

Catch yourself

just before you dream

and fly to the stars.

Shake yourself awake

and come play with me.

Now my thoughts must diminish

before I go too far.

On the breast of our morning,

we can't seem to touch for

the fear of discovering ourselves

is too heavy for us to handle.

Stay asleep, I can see the road clearly,

and the sadness of our departure is too

close to risk unplanned words.

Hush Hush,

I can hear you,

I can feel you near me in desguise,

Even though you are a million miles away.

Oh why did this have to happen ?

(No, not me.)

And I can't help wondering

what would have been.

But I venture no further,

For the gates taste

Just as sweet as the dream.

Oh please darling, keep me imagining....

and if a tear turns to dust, wake me...

and take me home.

Emily sits under the tree,

fingerpainting bunnies on the moon.

She's never been across the state line,

but she's the best cosmonaut on the block.

Sasha sits on her mother's bed,

breaking off her dolly's head.

She's paralized by her tongue,

so she uses her hands instead.

Excuse me while I come up for air.

I can't think when I can't breathe,

and my mind's been cut oiff from all oxygen.

Do you think I should see a doctor,

because of the dream I had

of monsters from the muppet show,

shaving their tongues and licking me clean?

I can't say that I'll ever be the same.

Who would ever want to stay that way?

You said that I couldn't do a thing about it.

(Well, I never thought that I could.)

But that doesn't stop me,

you knew nothing would.

There is too much fuzz in your pocket.

Are you trying to cleanse your past?

(Tommorrow you will forget my face-my friend.)

You won't know how to live,

if you leave your mind as I did.

I know that your intentions

are to drown your life in that glass.

Sweet tenderness,

tender is your kiss

as it slips into the wind.

I just barely miss,

Falling into the snow,

with frosted lips

and fingertips numb.

You shine toward the sun.

Smiling for the love you

have to give.

You know how to live,

more than anyone.
